College and university students  who want to develop their communication skills, soft skills and public speaking skills.

The Standout Club provides a distinctive curriculum designed to meet both personal and professional growth, featuring an affordable annual membership fee, and opportunities for networking

Club Structure and Functioning:

A Standout Club should have a minimum of 20 members and a maximum of 50 members.

If the club exceeds 50 members, and the existing members agree to divide into two clubs, some members may move to the new club to ensure it meets the minimum membership requirement of 20 members.

A club will have 5 officers, nominated and elected by the club members. These officers will be responsible for the club meetings and maintenance. The officer positions are as follows:

  1. The Club President
  2. Public Speaking Officer
  3. Public Relations officer
  4. Membership Officer
  5. Secretary

For a period of 1 year (July to June)

Membership Maintenance and Club Logistics:

The membership can be renewed online on the Standouctclubs.org. The annual membership fee of 3444+GST is valid from July to June of the following year. For members joining after July, membership extends only until the following June

Members of the Standout Club are expected to adhere to a code of conduct, which includes refraining from using phones during meetings. Additionally, audio and video recording during meetings should be avoided to respect the privacy of others and maintain mutual respect.

If a club member relocates during their study period and enrolls in a different college or university where there is an existing Standout Club, they are welcome to join that club.

Skills Development and Progress:

Attending regular Standout Club meetings, assuming different roles, and following the curriculum will help members develop their communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills. Regular constructive feedback during the meetings allows for continuous adjustments and refinements, leading to better overall performance and outcomes.
UNLEASH, the Standout Club's meticulously designed curriculum, offers a structured journey from simple to complex speech projects. The curriculum guides members to explore and implement new dimensions in their speeches, refining their skills progressively. This approach ensures members not only improve their public speaking abilities but also gain deeper insights into effective speech delivery, enhancing both competence and confidence.
Yeas, a member may select a topic that meets the guidelines outlined for effective speech delivery and evaluation. Each speech project in the curriculum includes specific speech and evaluation guidelines. This structured approach helps members tailor their speeches to meet the program's standards and improve their skills systematically.
UNLEASH consists of five stages, each containing 10 speech projects (excluding stage 5), followed by a quiz. Upon completing each stage, members receive a stage completion certificate. Those who finish all 5 stages will become confident and suave public speakers. They will also be eligible to apply for “Standout Speaker Award” which will bring them and clubs not only laurels but also a Standout employment opportunity.
Yes, members can present speech projects at their own convenience, but it is recommended to maintain a consistent pace between speech projects. Planning the speech projects according to the stages will lead to effective progression through the program. Remember, "The early bird catches the worm”.

Meeting Structure and Environment:

Standout Club members are expected to meet twice a month to ensure sufficient time and opportunities for completing their speech projects. These meetings are to be held on the college/university premises with prior approval from the institution's head. The meeting structure can be accessed on the club's website.

The Standout Club meetings will primarily be conducted in person. There will be an online meeting with the Standout Club admin to discuss club performance, address challenges faced by the club and the club members, find solutions, and learn new communication techniques to enhance skills and improve club functioning.

If a member misses a club meeting due to unavoidable circumstances, they can get always updates from the president. However, if a member plans to present their speech project and cannot attend the meeting, it's advisable to inform the club president in advance to allow others the opportunity. A reminder: a club’s succeeds when all members contribute their best efforts.

Standout Clubs should adhere strictly to a structured format for club meetings, as outlined on the club's website. The meeting includes various engaging, exciting, and educational segments.

Membership and Participation:

Anyone interested in public speaking is welcome to attend the Standout Club meeting as a guest to witness the event, but participation in meeting procedures is limited to members only.

College or university students pursuing graduation can become members of the Standout Club.

Yes, members can take their time to participate in Standout Club meetings as audience.

A member may bring non-members (from the same institution) to the meeting; however, it is advisable not to invite outsiders to club meetings without prior permission from institutional authorities."

Standout Club accommodates members with limited English proficiency by creating a supportive environment, providing feedback and guidance tailored to improve communication skills. Buddy system and coaching will foster confidence and gradual improvement.

Regular attendance at club meetings is encouraged. Members can also attend meetings at other Standout Clubs within the same college or university. However, prior permission from the authorities is required for attending meetings at institutions outside their own.

To become a member, one must pay the membership fee. It is recommended to join one club and actively participate in its activities.

Membership Benefits and Recognition:

Members of the Standout Club will receive stage completion certificates upon completing all speech projects within a stage. Additionally, certificates will be awarded for participating in club contests and external contests, as well as for assuming leadership roles during contests.

Club members' performance and completion of stages contribute points to the club. Club officers monitor member performance periodically and provide motivation to ensure stages are completed with integrity.

Members can track their progress online as they complete their speech projects.
